At Tri-Color, we require you to submit .JPG format files in order to optimize the speed of our workflow. JPG files transfer over the web, and through our system much faster.
However we recommend that you capture your images in RAW format.
The advantage of shooting RAW is that it allows you the photographer to have complete control over your images. RAW files can be adjusted in many ways to correct for errors in exposure and/or color after the image has been captured.
You have the ability to edit and convert your RAW files to .jpg format using the software that came with your digital camera, or with 3rd party software such as: Adobe Lightroom, Capture One, or Adobe Camera Raw...etc.
Shooting in RAW also allows the photographer to re-size the resulting .jpg file to the output size needed. These RAW files are your "digital negatives" they can be re-visited and re-worked to suit your changing needs.
