Panoramic Images

Panoramic photography is a wonderful way to capture a wider view than can normally be captured with conventional photography.

With computers and several overlapping exposures, these wide views can be realized using Photomerge in Adobe Photoshop, AutoPano Pro,
or other dedicated stitching software.

We can print in many different formats, so you are able to obtain a more interesting image without the need for special equipment.

The "Harbor View" image below was created from 6 individual images which were stitched together using AutoPano Pro.

here's the merged image, with and without borders placed around the individual images:

the final image is then cropped:

Harbor View, 4:1 Ratio

This image could easily be printed as a 5x20, 12x48 or 20x80, all are print sizes with a 4:1 width to height ratio. If another size is needed, the image would have to be cropped to a different ratio, or white space would have to be added to change the ratio.

If your image doesn't fit one of the sizes listed below, you can add white space in a program like Adobe Photoshop to increase your image size to fit one of our print sizes. for example, if you have a panorama that is 10x36, the closest size we have is a 12x36. You would need to add two inches of white space to make your image canvas fit our 12x36 print size.

  • Step1: Start Adobe Photoshop, and open the image.
  • Step2: Choose the "Image" menu, and click on "Canvas Size" to open the "Canvas Size" dialog box.
  • Step3: Check the box next to "Relative" and enter the number of inches to add to the canvas, in this case we'd enter a "2" for the height.
  • Step4: Make sure the canvas extension color is white.
  • Step5: Click the "OK" button to close the open dialog box and change the canvas size of your image.

Save the image as a flattened JPG, your image size is now 12x36 (your 10x36 image plus two inches of white) so you would place your order for a 12x36.
