So, the reason for contacting you is simply to say “thank you”  
When I reflect back on this career, which I began later than most people,
I always think of you as having the greatest impact helping me learn and
stay on the correct path so this could become a career. 

You were patient in your teaching and your knowledge was invaluable to me. 
You made it possible to focus on the creative side while learning the technical side.
You were the biggest player in my development and for that I will always be grateful… 
So, again, thank you Bob for your kindness, patience, and encouragement.
Without those qualities you possess, I may not have pursued this with this much passion.
