Which file format to use really depends on how you are sending us the file, and what type of print you are looking for. For a photographic print, or Aluminum print a JPG file in the sRGB color space (IEC61966-2.1) is perfect. If the image needs retouching, you should send an 8-bit, uncompressed TIF file, but a JPG is fine if that's all you have.
For the best quality, a fine art print image should be sent as a 16-bit uncompressed TIF file, and the color space should be Adobe RGB (1998).
